PurePoint now runs on every machine you own.

In March you ran agents on one Mac. Now you can run them on every Mac and Linux box you have, manage them from your iPad or iPhone, and ask Point Guard to keep track of all of it. Here’s what changed between March and October 2026.

The big changes

Run agents on any machine you can SSH into

Add a Mac or Linux box and its projects, agents, terminals, files and git changes appear in your sidebar. Agents keep working after you disconnect, and pu --machine targets them from the command line.

Let a Linux server work overnight

An install script and a systemd service keep agents running whether your Mac is awake or not. The server can host Point Guard and pair with your iPhone directly.

Do real work from an iPad

The iPad app is the Mac workspace: panes, tabs, terminals, the editor, review, channels, schedules and your keyboard shortcuts. It connects to your machines over SSH, so the laptop can stay home.

Unblock agents from your phone

Browse machines, projects, worktrees and agents. Answer a question, start an agent or terminal, create a worktree, or stop a run. The app saves several hosts and reconnects on its own.

Point Guard is a chat assistant now

Ask what needs you, correct it mid-answer, queue the next request, or stop it. A conversation started on your Mac continues on your phone. Save plays for your daily requests and pick your own model.

Catch up in one channel

Agents post to a project channel when they finish, with commits and PRs linked. Project and worktree screens show where everything stands without opening a terminal.

Smaller changes

File editor and layouts

Edit code beside the agent that wrote it, in split panes and tabs you can rearrange.

Branch review

See everything a branch changed since main, with staged, unstaged and untracked files listed separately.

Agent status and notifications

Get notified when an agent needs permission, asks a question, finishes or fails. pu read shows what it actually said. Conversation reads

Attachments and device access

Send Point Guard a screenshot, drop a file onto a remote terminal, and choose what each paired device can do.

Setup and reliability

Point Guard ships in the app, updates are signature-checked, and terminals and reconnects are smoother.
