Scoring criteria for evaluating UI/UX quality in PurePoint.
Scoring (1-5 per criterion)
1. Native Feel (weight: 2x)
- 5: Indistinguishable from a first-party Apple app; follows HIG perfectly
- 4: Feels native; minor deviations from HIG
- 3: Mostly native; some custom controls that feel slightly off
- 2: Mix of native and custom that feels inconsistent
- 1: Clearly non-native; custom everything
2. Information Density (weight: 2x)
- 5: Shows everything the user needs without feeling cluttered; perfect hierarchy
- 4: Good density; minor layout improvements possible
- 3: Adequate; some wasted space or slight clutter
- 2: Either too sparse or too cluttered
- 1: Unusable density — either empty or overwhelming
3. Responsiveness (weight: 3x)
- 5: Every interaction feels instant; no perceptible lag; smooth resizing
- 4: Responsive; occasional minor delay
- 3: Mostly responsive; noticeable delay on some operations
- 2: Sluggish; regular delays that break flow
- 1: Unresponsive; user waits frequently
4. Accessibility (weight: 2x)
- 5: Full keyboard navigation, VoiceOver support, WCAG AA contrast
- 4: Keyboard navigation works; minor VoiceOver gaps
- 3: Partial keyboard support; basic accessibility
- 2: Mouse-dependent; limited accessibility
- 1: No accessibility consideration
5. Visual Consistency (weight: 1x)
- 5: Perfect consistency in spacing, typography, color, and patterns
- 4: Consistent; minor variations
- 3: Mostly consistent; some drift between views
- 2: Inconsistent across views
- 1: No consistent visual language
